I’m Anika Costa—a board-certified behavior analyst, educator, instructional designer, and the founder of The Operant Teacher. I’ve spent over 20 years working at the intersection of education, behavioral science, and performance systems. I’m also a bestselling author, national and international speaker, and trusted consultant to schools, therapy clinics, nonprofits, and mission-driven teams and organizations.
When I’m not coaching, designing, or teaching, I’m likely organizing something for fun, reading about systems change, engaging in deep conversations over coffee, or practicing yoga. I’m based in Florida and love the ocean and being outdoors. I am naturally curious and constantly seek a balance between high standards and perfection.

I’m especially passionate about assisting leaders in building environments where all stakeholders are set up for success, from training and coaching to long-term system change. Learning should be empowering—not overwhelming—and most problems become clearer when we slow down and observe what’s truly happening.
